Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater – On the Staff

Question of the Week

Dear Susan,

Will you be posting a version of Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater with notes on a staff? I would like to teach it to my daughter.

–Anxiously Waiting

Dear Anxious,

You can find this traditional children’s song in a bundle of autumn music in the music store at an affordable price. It is arranged for five finger position with the melody divided between the hands. Pre-reading fall music is there, too!

  1. Thanks, Susan! This is a perfect song for fall, especially for my students who don’t “celebrate” Halloween! The duet part can usually be learned easily by a parent — on piano, or even guitar.

    1. You’re welcome, Anna. It’s a catchy little tune. Even my students who have never heard it before really like to play it.
