Books and Bees!

Hello everyone! I hope you had a joyous Easter holiday or at least a restful break. I’m so excited to share with you what I’ve been up to. Between the new sticker update and my plans for the TMTA conference, I’ve been a BUSY BEE!

This June I’ll be heading to the Texas Music Teachers Association 2025 Conference (JUNE 12-15, 2025, Houston, TX) to set up a booth in the exhibitors’ hall! My main goal for the convention is to spread the word of Susan Paradis Piano Teaching Resources to people who might not have discovered my little corner of the internet yet. While I’m there, I thought I would sell some physical copies of the products I offer digital versions of on my site. Of course I’ll hopefully get to meet some of you, so if you are planning to attend, please stop by!

I’ve been busy creating prototypes and deciding what I want to bring with me. I’ve also had fun creating a few new things that will be exclusive to the convention (for now!).

Fans of my mom’s site begged her for years to create physical copies of her products. There are a lot of considerations to take into for running that kind of operation. With digital products, I can spend a lot more time focusing on creating new products. With physical products, I have to find time to design, prototype, manufacture, and fulfill (mailing it all out!). Since I’ve been prototyping for the conference, I’ve haven’t been able to post as many new things onto the site. However, I’ve been having SO MUCH FUN seeing my mom and I’s creations coming to life!

So I HAVE decided to offer a few physical items for sale in the store in the near future. The first product to go physical is the Fun with Frogs pre-reading method series books. Those of you following along on Instagram and Facebook have seen me talk about it a little bit. I just received my first shipment of Book 1, and I’ve been editing Book 2 to prepare for print. Don’t worry, I will keep these series available as digital downloads, but some of y’all are very excited for physical copies. These will available at the TMTA conference first, and then I’ll sell the rest online.

After this initial push into physical products, I’ll have to decide what I want the next physical products to be. I’d REALLY love to HEAR FROM YOU. What would YOU like to see physical copies of? Please comment on this blog! (or comment on my socials!)

Each month I reveal the new design for the Betty Sue Sticker Club! This month is a cute spring theme with Bees! I wanted to create something that would help motivate students with their recital pieces this spring, so I thought some bee-themed motivational phrases would be super cute! This was my first attempt into hand drawn lettering and let me too you: IT TOOK FOREVER.

If you have been at the site lately, you’ve probably noticed a new homepage! I had so much fun reorganizing and redecorating with more illustrative elements. I’m trying to find a cohesive style for the site without having to do a complete overhaul in rebranding.

Updating the website is a constant part of my business, so I hope y’all enjoy the new look. I think it’s very cute! It will continue to evolve over time.
