Come To Our Piano Workshop in Beautiful San Antonio!

Piano Camp Ad490x634

I am personally inviting you to sign up for the Piano Camp for Piano TeachersĀ in San Antonio, Texas on June 27! I have prepared an all new session just for this workshop. I will present moving and floor activities that my students ask for again and again. I will also discuss useful piano teaching websites and my favorite music apps. WeĀ are going to demonstrate the moving activities so you can see them in action. Even if you don’t have an iPad, mobile tablet, or smart phone, your students probably have access to one, so I will project the apps on a screen so you can seeĀ how they work.

But that’s just a small part of the Piano Camp. There will be four 1.5 hour intensive sessions including question and answer time. The wonderful pianist-pedagogue-teacher-composer Elizabeth Gutierrez will have sessions on sight reading, teaching scales, and her selection of the best “easy, sounds hard” pieces. There is nothing better than a great piano solo to motivate your students. Come prepared to buy yourĀ fall piano music.

We are going to start off with coffee and breakfast snacks. Lunch is included! There will be manyĀ door prizes from your favorite publishers.

Here is a special offer for my readers who attend the workshop. After you’ve registered for the Piano Camp for Piano Teachers, email me by June 18Ā with the name of any PDF printable game that I have created and postedĀ onĀ myĀ website. Ā I will print out the game board and laminate it. If there are cards to go along with the game, I will print them, cut them out, and give the materialĀ to you at the camp.

You can find out how to sign up at this link. Ā There is a special price for college students. The Piano Camp is now taking PayPal so register today so you won’t forget to email me with the game you want!

  1. This sounds wonderful! I am so sorry I can’t make it this year. I also would be willing to pay to watch videos of this online! Thank you so much for all your wonderful ideas!
    I love your blog!!

  2. Hi Susan! Sounds like it will be an awesome time. I’m from Canada and will be in Dallas on the 29th. If only I had known when I booked my tickets. I’m really interested in all the games/aids that teachers will be sharing. Is there an opportunity to get in on this for those that are unable to attend?

Thank you for all your awesome ideas and games Susan!

  3. Hi, this sounds fabulous, but I live in Washington, DC, and I don’t think traveling is in the budget (but I’d love to see San Antonio when I can!). Do you happen to know of any similar conferences on the East Coast?

    1. Valerie and Anne Marie,
Thank you for the suggestion! I will look into that, but I’m not really up on that kind of technology! I’m not sure how it works, but I will check with Elizabeth.

  4. I wish I could! I’m not in a position to travel there. Any chance you can sell it online like they did for Music Ed Connect? I’d be happy to purchase and watch in on my computer!

  5. My daughter and I both teach piano and are extremely interested in this workshop….. we live in Largo Fl and it would be a huge expense but I feel would be well worth it. Has anyone else from our area registered, that we could maybe car pool with? Are there economical lodging alternatives? Any way to simply watch on line? I have been teaching for 20 yrs now and love it. Have been appreciating your information so very much! Thanks for all you do! Winn
