Easy Rhythm Bingo

An alert teacher asked me if I had made an easy rhythm bingo. Of course I thought so because I  remember playing it. I have to be honest, however. After posing hundreds of files over the years, I can’t remember what I have on the site. As I looked through my website, sure enough, it was not there. Things came up, and it got lost in the Games That Never Were Finished file.

Objective

  • To review rhythm patterns in 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4 time signatures

Level

  • Cards 1 & 2 have no 8th notes.
  • Cards 3 & 4 have simple patterns using 8th notes.

Why I Like This Game

  • It is a good game to practice rhythmic ear training.

Susan, I love your great ideas. Thank you so much! Today I was checking out your post and on the first page of the rhythm cards for more advanced students (2nd card down on the right side), I think the 2-8th notes should be 16ths. Or have I missed something? Thanks once again – I am fairly new to your website.

Marylee, yes, you are correct. I did make a mistake on the teacher calling cards. I fixed it and reposted the new PDF file. Maybe teachers who have printed this out already can take a black pen and fix it. Thanks for letting me know!

    Hi Susan
I would love to make use of the last resource you made available “Rhythm Bingo” but I am finding it difficult to download the document. Any suggestions? Thank you for the awesome work you do for music teachers all around the world!

Teachers who have updated to Windows 10 and using Window’s Edge as a browser will not be able to download my PDF’s. Instead, try Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.

  3. Thank you so much for the game. This will be perfect for my up coming group lessons. Thanks for sharing.
