Jingle Bells from Christmas Favorites
Jingle Bells
Today I am posting a free version of Jingle Bells from Christmas Favorites Book One. [Offer expires Dec. 31] This shortened version is written for young beginners who have just started to read notes. What is special about this series is the optional accompaniment which is written on two staves and has finger numbers and chords to encourage parents to play along.
If you have ever had parents who wanted to play the accompaniments to beginning music but were intimidated by the way they are written in student music, then this might help with the problem. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and older siblings will feel very comfortable with the two easy staves showing bass and treble clefs on the same page as the students’ music. The accompaniments in Christmas Favorites are optional because the easy student part contains the melody.
I am very interested in music becoming a family activity because I have seen how much joy it brings my young students when their family joins in.
To show you how this book works, I am posting a song from the book free so you can try it out. Notice that there are chords, too, so it can even be a trio if one family member can play guitar.
Jingle Bells is a sample from Christmas Favorites Book One, a printable book of Christmas carols for beginners. Click here for more information about this one-of-a-kind collection. Book Two is also available. The books include a certificate, a song check-off list, and a table of contents. Start early so students can perform a family duet at your Christmas program! Please note my music books are digital downloads and do not include a physical item.
