More Sunny Solos-the Sequel

Do you ever have a student who finishes their primer method book but you just don’t think they are ready to move on to the level? Then you need More Sunny Solos. It takes up where the first Sunny Solos leaves off. There are 19 eight-measure pieces with teacher accompaniments, large staves, fingering, as well as a certificate, table of contents, and colorful illustrations. It is also good for students stuck in middle C position because it uses several “near middle C” positions. The focus of this book is to practice, in a fun way, the concepts students will need to be successful in their next method book.

This piece, Where is My Soccer Ball, reviews a tie over a bar line. The second book gives students an opportunity to review skipping notes. This is probably the biggest problem beginning students have in note accuracy. They often need much more practice in primer level steps and skips. This is a good book for them to have fun and grow a little before they go into their next book. I also use it to evaluate transfer students, as a supplementary book, and as a sight-reading book.

Susan, I just purchased, downloaded, and printed Sunny Solos and More Sunny Solos. These are wonderful. I plan on using them as a sightreading tool for my early level students. Love the pictures too. You are a breath of fresh air! Thanks soooo much.

Thank you so much! You don’t know how much I appreciate your comment, and I’ll tell my daughter.

I’ve successfully used this for young transfer students “stuck” in middle C position. It is easy enough to not frustrate them. I would like to make one for older students, without the cartoon illustrations.

  2. Congratulations Susan :)) Thanks for your hard work as always.
