I had a student who wanted a piece that sounded a little scary for fall, but was not a Halloween piece, so I wrote Dark in the Park for him. This is a good piece to reassure children that there are many wonderful things you can only see at night, like stars! It is a minor piece at the early elementary level with an easy, optional accompaniment (duet) for one hand only, so that a parent or sibling can play along. It is divided between the hands in C minor 5-finger position. It has an expressive, legato melody that children can relate to and sing along with. The file includes 2 versions of the same music, one with the duet at the bottom, and the other with the duet underneath the melody which many teachers have told me they prefer. Print the one you like best!

Dark in the Park is a PRINTABLE PDF file measuring 8.5 x 11 inches. The file includes 2 versions of the same score.
