Happy Pre-reading Halloween!

SKU: PM160 Category:

🎃🎶Halloween fun for beginners!

This Halloween Pre-reading Bundle includes six easy to play pages of pre-reading music just in time for your beginning students for Halloween. Two of the pages can be played at the very first lesson. The other pieces have the melody divided between the hands in “near C” position. Most of the notes move in steps with a few “skipping” notes to add melodic interest. One of the pieces include a teacher duet. All of the pages have colorful illustrations that are appropriate for average age and young beginners.

Six colorful one-page pre-reading sheets and two bonus pages!

Included in the bundle is Halloween Finger Numbers, a fast and easy worksheet students can use at their first lesson to label piano finger numbers and an Instruction Guide to Playing Pre-reading Music. It has visuals and a very easy to understand explanation of how to play these pages.

If you are a parent or grandparent, these pieces are a great introduction to the piano. You will notice there is no staff to confuse beginners so you can concentrate on learning finger numbers, rhythm, and the important technique of playing with a good hand position and curved fingers. These sheets are great confidence builders for beginners if you take your time and don’t rush.

Below is an audio version of Hey Mr. Mummy (pre-reading version) with the teacher duet.

This is a studio license, so a single teacher can print copies for their private students!

These are the Halloween pre-reading sheets that have been teacher favorites for years, freshened up. Most of these one page pieces are also available in a longer, on the staff version, so if they play them later, they will already be familiar with the music.

Included are:

✔︎ Hey, Mr. Mummy
✔︎ What Will I Say on Halloween?
✔︎ What Will I Be on Halloween?
✔︎ Once a Year on Halloween

The Pre-Reading Halloween and Autumn bundles really hit the spot in my studio. Color, fun, and so reasonably priced!

Fun and colourful for a young beginner!

My kids have loved these songs for years. I went to print out more and realized they were no longer free, which actually made me happy as purchasing them is an easy way to thank Susan for her hard work. Tonight I introduced a kindergartner to “What will I say on Halloween?” which has been a studio favorite. She loved the idea of changing what she would say every time she practiced and it gave us a chance to add a little improv by playing what she would say on the piano. I have three kindergartners who just started and these are perfect for them to play for our Halloween Party!
