🎁🎄Even Beginners Can Play Christmas Music!🔔🎹
This Pre-reading Christmas Piano Bundle One includes 8 Christmas songs and carols that have been especially arranged for students who have not learned to read notes on a music staff. Do you have a student who would love to play Christmas songs and carols but hasn’t been taking piano long enough for a Christmas book? Then try these colorful pre-reading pieces and watch your students smile!
Large size finger numbers over big notes are included, but you will notice there is no staff to confuse beginners. The left hand in every piece is highlighted in blue. Because these are traditional songs and not music originally written for piano beginners, it is a real challenge to arrange them in a way that is easy enough non-music readers. There are several levels of rhythm included in this bundle. In some of the songs I included eighth notes and dotted quarter notes because the rhythm can be played by rote. In other pieces I took some liberties with the rhythm but students should feel free to play them as they sing them.
Six of these pieces are new to my site and are brand new to my pre-reading repertoire. In order to do this, they are in different hand positions and keys from the on-the-staff versions. There is a graphic on each page to show students where to put their hands. The other two pieces will be familiar, but they have been completely re-engraved on a larger staff for easier reading for beginners. The hands do not shift in any of the pieces. Instead, the left hand takes over if necessary. Three of the pieces are two pages long.
✔︎Bonus: Illustrated instructions on how to play pre-reading music is included.
Included in the bundle is an Instruction Guide to Playing Pre-reading Music. It has visuals and a very easy to understand explanation of how to play these pages for parents who want to help their children.
If you are a parent or grandparent, these pieces are a great introduction to the piano. You will notice there is no staff to confuse beginners so you can concentrate on learning finger numbers and rhythm. These sheets are a confidence builder for beginners and excellent material to help learn the keyboard and to keep their eyes on the music.
