☘️ This St. Patrick’s Day Composing Activity is made for beginning students to compose a melody and write it using musical notation. Even young beginners who can’t yet read notes on the staff can participate by using finger numbers instead of notes. Students who can read notes can write them on the staff which contains rhythm and lyrics. It is a good idea to give students some structure, such as start on C and end on C or which 5-finger position to use. Since the rhythm is already given, students are free to only be concerned with the melody. Please note this is a digital download and does not include a physical item.
