Great for an older beginner!

Description

Water Lilies is an easy to learn, flowing early elementary piece in C position. This is a good piece for an older beginner who needs an early elementary piece, but doesn’t want to play a piece that looks too childish. The delicate melody stays in C position throughout the first section. In the quieter middle section, the left hand briefly moves to middle C position. This is a long-time student and teacher favorite on my website. It has been re-engraved with more expression markings to bring out the tuneful, simple melody. Fingering and slurs are carefully marked.

“Water Lilies” is often featured at my recitals. There’s always a student for whom this piece is perfect: elegant-sounding, but perfect for an early elementary student.

  2. Mary Tunnell

This is a very beautiful piece for early elementary students of all ages. Good for practice in legato, expressive playing.
