The Susan Paradis Music Camp Scholarship
For over 50 years Susan Paradis has positively impacted the lives of countless children and fellow teachers through her involvement with the Plano Music Teacher Association (PMTA), her piano studio, and her online music resources website. Recognizing her contributions to the community, the PMTA has honored her with The Susan Paradis Music Camp Scholarship. Created to continue Susan’s goal of making high quality music education experiences as accessible as possible, this scholarship encourages students of all ages and musical backgrounds to further their education and passion in their chosen form of music whether it is piano, voice, or any other instrument.
Susan always had a kind heart and loved that the scholarship would be available to any student of a PMTA member who desired to attend a music camp. Susan created this website, Susan Paradis Piano Teaching Resources, in 2006. It started as a humble blog for music educators with a simple idea: music education should be fun! She developed and uploaded many engaging activities and materials and soon the website began to grow. Susan composed original works and opened an online store to publish them.
With this website, her compositions and learning materials have been accessed and used across the country and internationally. Susan’s love for music and her commitment to mentor others truly impacted teachers and students across the world.
