Assignment Pages

Have you heard the story about the teacher who put a message in each student’s assignment page that said if they told the teacher they read the message they would receive $1.00? Obviously this was when a dollar was worth a lot more than it is now! Even so, not one student read the message.

Back in the day I actually tried it myself and guess what? None of my students read it either! I must be a real optimist because this inspired me to make a different assignment sheet that was more interactive. I really believe it helped. When I would assign a scale or even a five finger pattern, I would point it out the circle of 5ths. I would have students circle the new scale on the circle as I would explain what it meant. Gradually it helped them to understand theory in a practical manner, like why we learn the G scale after the C scale.  Upcoming events and memorization deadlines were right there on their assignment page. And it was fast and easy for me to fill out at the lesson.

As I started teaching younger students, it was obvious I needed a different kind of assignment sheet that would be better for children who were just learning to read. These are colorful and very simple for parents to use when they help their young children practice.

Returning to the store this week are three assignment pages I used, one for average age students, and two cute young beginner pages. The page for average age students is black and white and has many features including a line for upcoming events, major and minor circle of fifths, a keyboard, a staff, a message line for parents, and practice check off boxes.

There are two different ones for young beginners. If you use the the music, games, and fun sheets in the Fun With Frogs series, you will love the page with art from those books. The other assignment page has cute ladybugs. There is an assignment sheet for everyone! Each assignment page comes with a studio license so that you may print copies for all your students. You can find the assignment pages in the teaching aids>assignment page category or click here.

I confess I haven’t used your website for the last year ?? But when I came to checkout information the only option I saw was PayPal which I don’t use because of previous concerns. How do I proceed to credit card?

You do not need to use PayPal. Here is how to use a credit card instead of PayPal.

In order to use a credit card, follow the ordering process to the point where it is time to pay with PayPal. When you get to that point, there is an option to use a credit card.

If you do not have an account, you will have to set one up. After you have put a check on “I have read and agree to the website terms and conditions”, then proceed to PayPal.
In this window, you can select to use a credit card. Select “Pay with Debit orCredit Card” and follow the prompts to enter your data.
