Quick game to learn rhythm note names.
Description
🎹 🐠 Rhythm Turnovers is a music theory game that is a fun way for beginning music students to learn the names of notes and rests. This card game is played with only four cards. Students turn cards to match the name the teacher calls out and is over quickly so if can be played several times. It is great for group lessons or music theory classes but it can also be used with only 2 players such as teacher and student. It is a game of chance, so everyone can win! As students play, they will start to learn the names of notes and rests. Expand the rules to ask students the value of the notes or play with all 7 cards. Included is an optional design to print on the back of the cards. Bonus! There is a set with eighth and sixteenth notes for intermediate students. Notes and rests include whole to sixteenth including beamed 8th notes and dotted quarter note for students learning 6/8 meter.
Easy instructions and optional backs for the cards are included. Use “borderless printing” for the backs. If you don’t see borderless printing in your print setting go to “photo printing” and look in the size options for “borderless printing.” You can also do a search for borderless printing using your computer model number.
