Rhythm Pizza

Description

Rhythm Pizza is a hands-on activity to explain rhythm values to music students. This has been expanded to include whole to 16th notes. Many times in piano lessons we find ourselves trying to explain rhythm values to children using fractions because that is the way we understand it. However, we might be teaching children who are several years away from learning fractions in school and while they might pretend they understand, they might not. By using the graphics I made students can see the relationships in a clear manner without using traditional fractions like 1/4. Teachers all over the world have commented on how helpful Rhythm Pizza is. The very simple instructions and helpful hints are included. Glue it to foam board to make it more puzzle-like. Feel free to come up with your own variations. Please note this is a digital download and does not include a physical item.
