Description
The Shamrock Keyboard Race is a great game to help students remember the names of piano keys. This is an activity between student and teacher. It is the fastest and most fun way to learn keyboard names! All of the notes are white keys except B flat and F sharp which can be removed when playing with students who haven’t learned sharps and flats. Two players sit on the piano bench and use the piano as the game board. This is the most practical kind of game because it relates directly to the piano keys and it is fun! Two small pencil erasers can be used for the tokens. Instructions are included. Please note this is a digital download and does not include a physical item.

Objective
The object of the Shamrock activity is to reinforce knowing the names of the piano keys quickly.
Level
This activity is for all ages. It is good for students who can’t immediately say the names of the piano keys.
The Shamrock Keyboard Race contains two Printable PDF pages and an instruction page. These are digital files to print on 8.5″ x 11″ paper. When you order, your links will be sent to your account for you to download. Please double-check the email you use. It helps students to learn keyboard-geography in a simple, fun, quick way.
We use it often, mostly to help beginners, but any student whose lesson overlaps with a beginner student is totally happy to play!
