Bunny Fun Sheet

I apologize to my subscribers for this old post from last year being resent to them. This promotion ended in 2022!

Here’s a cute funsheet to help students learn the music alphabet as well as steps and skips. This will work for average age beginners who are just starting lessons. First they fill in the blanks of the music alphabet. Then they use what they have written to identify two letters as either steps or skips. [Please note this promotion ended April 15, 2022.]

If your student has not learned the concept of steps and skips, you can use this with your student in the lesson as guided work. To save time, you can write the missing letters on the eggs as the student tells the answer. Once the student can see the music alphabet on the page, it makes learning steps and skips easier. Next you can explain that sometimes the bunny steps, and sometimes it hops over an egg and that is called a skip.

Then help the student to answer the step and skip questions, using the music alphabet on the page as a guide. Beginner students often have trouble figuring out steps and skips in their head.

If your student understands the step/skip concept, you can then go to the piano and show and listen to steps and skips on the piano keys. Learning to read and hear steps and skips on a music staff can be another lesson.

Enjoy this free until midnight, April 15, 2022.
